Being apart of Wonderwalk means you can raise money with your MOM and DAD that March of Dimes will use to take care of babies. Especially babies that are sick, really small and need that extra help. When you join Wonderwalk you help new babies be born healthy. Isn't that worth something?

Become involved, make a change, donate, be there, hope, CARE for the cure! As a child of a surviving breast cancer parent, I have indulged so much in my life. Having to hear the stories of myself as the miracle birth, it opened my eyes to what and how serious this disease really is. Even today as I have watched loved ones pass or try and beat this, I still have the courage and heart to HOPE for a cure. I will not let it win that part of me.

If you or anyone is going though similar situations, don't give up, remember if you fight, it cannot win!

was a tough road. We were able to build a great life here in

the U.S. Let’s just say I’ve learned how to make lemons out

of lemonade.

Why do you consider yourself an Ymm?

I consider myself Ymm because I’m a mom who is always

on the move. I hustle and I go hard. I’m balancing,

motherhood, and career, and being a wife. Did I mention

that I’m also in school? It’s a juggling act at times, but I

love it. It’s rewarding when I see that beautiful smile on my

daughter’s face.

Ride Like the Wind

When I was a kid, there was nothing like pulling out my bike, and riding up and down the street. I felt as free as a bird flying in the sky. My bike was my tranquility. It was my reason for being a kid. I could go as fast, slow and no one could stop me. I could do tricks and wheelies and no one could touch me. I was the best at riding my bike and when I look at my children today as they ride theirs, I see that same light in their eyes as mine. Above my daughter Dilynn tests out her new birthday gift and I must say I did good because she loves it! My son loves to ride his bike and now he and my daughter can both ride together.

Bodies in Motion had their annual dance recital at Queensborough College June 5, 2011 and I was happy to be apart of the audience because my daughter Dilynn was a dancer in the show. It was amazing watching the little people get their dance on, not to mention the costumes were exuberant. She was so excited and proud to be in the show. I am anticipating next year's show because she is joining again. If you are in the New York area and are looking to sign your child up for dance classes contact Bodies in Motion. She will spend at least $15,000—perhaps twice that—to freeze as many eggs as science can help her produce in a month or two and keep them in a cryogenic vat indefinitely. No one is officially tracking the numbers yet, but fertility experts say she is among the several thousand American women this year who are expected to opt for egg freezing, known technically as oocyte cryopreservation. “The science of egg freezing is finally at a place where it’s making a real difference in people’s lives and futures,” says Jamie Grifo, M.D., program director of the Fertility Center at New York University. “We’ve been working toward this point for years, and sometimes it’s hard to believe we’re here.”

Leah never thought she’d need to do this. The plan was to be married by now. But her on-and-off boyfriend, a gourmet-food importer, just isn’t headed in the same direction as she. He’s adorable but not serious. He smokes too much pot. Her boss at her last job had brought up egg freezing a couple of years before, after he and his wife, in their late 30s, had had trouble conceiving, and he urged her to look into anything that would spare her the pain they’d gone through. The idea had floated back to her in recent months. She knew she was coming dangerously close to the age when eligible men might search her eyes for desperation, that unseemly my-clock-is-ticking vibe. “Freezing my eggs is my little secret,” she says. “I want to feel there’s a backup plan. I don’t want to waste the next few years in a state of panic, or feel terrible every time I hear that one of my married friends is pregnant.”

Stopping the biological clock through egg freezing has long been the ultimate feminist fantasy. The Pill was the first step, enabling women to delay childbearing, a revolution that profoundly altered society. But over the past five decades, the price we’ve paid has been age-related infertility, on an epic scale. Many young women blithely believe they can wait until their 40s to have kids, but that is wishful thinking. At age 40, more than half will not be able to conceive without help, and by 44, even with IVF, that number plummets below 5 percent. No matter how nutritious your diet or strenuous your workout, your eggs still get old, still betray you.

Unlike embryos, which scientists have been able to freeze since the early 1980s (about 16 percent of successful IVF procedures are now done with embryos that have been frozen and thawed), eggs were, until recently, thought too delicate to survive the process. Made up of a single cell, they contain a large amount of liquid, and using the slow-freezing method that was successful for cryopreserving embryos created ice crystals that destroyed the eggs. In the past decade, increasing numbers of clinics have offered oocyte freezing to cancer patients undergoing radiation, but with scant success rates, the suggestion was more of a palliative comfort than a real option.

With today's scape goats to sugar, salt, fried foods, oils and edible things that are clearly bad for you, we have no wins. It would seem that way wouldn't it? As parents, we have to fight for our children and keep them healthy and fit. Obesity is one of the biggest issues/ problems with our children today. It can't be easy sending them to school where Mac and Cheese and Meat with Gravy is the entree' and/or a McDonalds up the street for pleasure snacking. We have to put a stop to this now before we lose our kids to diabetes, heart attacks, High-Cholesterol and worst of all, Depression! I love how Beyonce and Michelle Obama have teamed up to help prevent this. Just as Michelle, I struggle with my youngst every day to eat right and stop wanting things that are bad for her. He under went heart surgery and tests after tests. After 2 long months we found out our babies brain didn't form when he was grown in the womb. to make things worse we also found out the same day are baby was blind and deaf.

Thursday night was anything but boring! I took my two children Rafael& Dilynn to the Barnum & Bailey Circus that was in my hometown of New York. The circus was so much fun and so full of life. The animals and entertainers definitely played their part. I would have to say my favorite part was the lion's act. My kids enjoyed all the acts and especially the snow cones and popcorn. Dealing with the pain of not having what motivates her most, her kids not with her and not being able to do the little thing that only a mother can do, was definitely a learning experience and truly gave a deeper understanding of what sacrifice means.
